Computer Class Oct. 26th

1. Go to the link that says "Vocabulary Connection" Blue level
2. You may go to any of the Level Blue games (Hangman, word search, antonyms, etc.)
3. Make sure you are using Unit 6 words.
4. Continue to play all the various games until you have mastered them.
5. Once you have completed these you may continue on this or on Sheppards Software:STATES

- Type you paragraph
- Make sure you have:
- Complete heading
- spell check
- re-read and edited as needed
- correct font and size
- Print ONE copy when complete
- DO NOT SAVE
- Turn in and follow the directions below
If you have already typed your paragraph:
- Turn in paragraph at front of classroom
- Click on Our Story
- Read the first page then click on Chapter 1
- Read the summary for chapter 1 then click the red arrow at the bottom of the page and continue reading all the summaries for each chapter
- Once you have read all the summaries go back to: http://library.thinkquest.org/6299/aboutour.htm and click on Beaver games. You may play any that you choose.

Sign of the Beaver

***FINAL TEST THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8th***

Students should finish the entire novel by Monday and be prepared for discussion, review, and activities about "Sign of the Beaver." The test will be given on Thursday over the entire novel. More detail about the test will be distributed to students throughout the week to guide them in studying.

INDEPENDENT WORK!
1. Go Safari and open a new window.
2. Type in the search bar www.sheppardsoftware.com
3. Click on "US Geography Games"
4. Under the "Landscapes" column click on the "Play" button under "Tutorials"
5. Click on the map to highlight certain regions. A summary about the region will show up on the left hand side.
6. On your paper write:
Region Name:
General location:
One important characteristic:
7. Do this for every region on the map.
8. Once completed make sure you have a complete heading and turn in. (Subject is Social Studies)
9.. Once completed, you may go back to the previous page and under the "Landscapes" column click the "Play" button on the beginner level. Play until you get every region correct the FIRST TRY!
10. You may begin to learn "States" tutorials if you complete these tasks.
